American Islamic Forum for Democracy to hold Anti-Terror Rally in Phoenix this Sunday
For anyone in the Phoenix/Arizona/S. California area, please join us April 25th in solidarity with the pro-America anti-terror Muslim community in showing our support for the War on Terror. As far as I know, this is the first event of its kind held by a Muslim organization; this is history in the making. It's about time that local Muslim communities eschew the hate-filled empty rhetoric of the Council on American Islamic Relations and the Muslim Public Affairs Council--who like mindless puppets take their marching orders from Riyadh. We are Americans, and all persons of Arab and Muslim heritage have an obligation as Americans to stand at the vanguard of opposing terrorism in this country. It is after all, our country too.
Here's Zuhdi Jasser's op-ed in the AZ Republic on why Muslims should oppose terror.
Please take an hour and join us at Patriots Square downtown (Central and Washington) on Sunday April 25 at 6PM. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
We hope to have a great presence from the Muslim and interfaith community to make a resounding statement of conscience reminding everyone that Muslims and all those of faith are against terror. The flyer is included as a pdf attachment. Please contact me with any questions regarding the rally. No matter how humble the event, this first in the nation statement of Muslim Americans rallying together with our interfaith colleagues will hopefully make an impact locally and perhaps beyond.
Warmest regards in peace. Salam and God bless,
M. Zuhdi Jasser, MD
